Applications - Case Study Number 218 - Bexel Hosts EVS Training in Burbank
Sports and entertainment broadcast production has become dependent on EVS systems. Bexel Broadcast Services is the leading provider of EVS systems in North America, offering the broadcast community a premium product with a premium level of support and technical customer service.
The tapeless workflow solutions that EVS helped to develop have evolved well beyond instant replay and super slo-motion sports applications. Bexel and EVS are committed to enhance and improve the way in which live broadcast is produced. They have made it possible to move HD media from an EVS HD XT2 to an Avid HD system “ or to Apple’s Final Cut Pro.
Tapeless workflow training and showcase sessions help to educate EVS operators and Bexel clients who hope to better understand what EVS can offer them. Half a dozen operators were trained by EVS on operation of the system and on IP Director.
On Friday, November 30. 2007, Bexel’s Burbank facility opened its doors to host leading-edge innovators who will use the EVS HD workflow in the very near future. E! Entertainment Television (who use EVS on such events as the Golden Globe Awards), Fox Cable Networks, Incited Media, Access Hollywood, WCSN (World Championship Sports Network), and many more, brought many questions and ideas to the table.
“It is incredible that you guys put this on. It was incredibly helpful,” said Erick Diaz with Access Hollywood. “It gave me comfort to know that we can really adopt this without changing how we do everything. It makes really good sense to start to work this way. The way it sends media back and forth, this is really solid. Can we test it next week in-house?”
