Bexel Broadcast Fiber Solutions (BexelBFS) was the prime contractor in the original design of the Hollywood & Highland fiber optic system "“ an intricate, customized, underground fiber optic network. Scott Nardelli, Director of BexelBFS, oversaw the original installation - specifically for the Academy Awards Show but also providing fiber demarcations throughout the Hollywood and Highland facilities on both sides of Hollywood Blvd. "My skilled team installed fiber underneath Hollywood Blvd to establish a "Fiber Network" enabling us to cross connect to almost any area of the Hollywood& Highland complex," said Nardelli.

In the area of service provision, this year was no different than others past - Bexel provided HD fiber feeds, a varied array of support and services in the form of equipment rentals, fiber-optic technical expertise and engineering support, as well as technical advice to broadcasters, photographers and the legions of national/international press that covered the star-studded event "“ live and in real time.
