Welcome To The Future ...Welcome To Tech Forum VIII

Presented by Bexel Broadcast Services and ...well, we'll have to tell you about all of the other sponsors as we get closer...

Seven years ago, when Jerry Gepner started the Tech Forum, the challenge was to understand what was possible. Today, we understand that almost anything is possible and that (as a unified technical community) we need to articulate a vision clearly in an effort to help the product development community make it real.

In the past, the manufacturers talked and we listened. Now, our community of engineers, technologists, producers, directors and other content creators have taken the technology, made it their own and grown it into something unique and very distinct...

Welcome to Tech Forum VIII

...already in the planning stages. Bleeding-edge Technology ...pre-NAB ...Top Manufacturers ...The Latest Hardware ...Interesting Presentations and, as before, lots of Interactive Discussion.

Please join us for a little relaxation, great food and drink, a fresh new approach to hands-on discussion and the most fascinating technical presentation yet " at Vitec Technology Forum VIII

March 9-10, 2009

Dolce Basking Ridge Resort, Basking Ridge, NJ

Watch this Space! Many details to follow, but for now, here's the word from Jerry Gepner...

"Please allow me to welcome you to our new Technology Forum website. No, we haven't gone all commercial or sold out. We are just growing, and when I say we...I mean all of us. Following the success of last year's event, it seemed obvious that the community of people that have contributed to the Technology Forum over the years deserved to benefit from their involvement and contributions.

This website is designed to do several things that past guests have asked for and new guests will appreciate. In the pages, you will find everything from a completely automated registration system to a series of forms that allow past guests to recommend a new invitee, suggest a topic for discussion, suggest a presenter for inclusion, download archives of past presentations and (my favorite), a blog where I will try to post somewhat sensible opinions for your consideration.

Please feel free to wander around this site and explore the various areas, even though several of them are not fully populated or operational yet, you will get a sense for the flow and layout. Feel free to use the Contact feature to send comments, plaudits, suggestions or general thoughts about the site.

Over the next several weeks, the remainder of the content will be created and the process of planning Technology Forum VIII will get underway in earnest. Until then, the blog will be up and running, and several of the archives will be populated.

I look forward to seeing you all in 2009 at Technology Forum VIII. Best regards, Jerry"
