Bexel DC
Herndon, VA
TIVA-DC (www.tivadc.org) hosted an event at the Bexel Broadcast Services DC office titled "My favorite field acquisition: Why this workflow works for me".
Industry professionals from all over the DC metro area attended to hear real world users explain why they work with what and debate the merits of doing so! DP/filmmaker Alex Ibrahim, DP/editor Matt Gottshalk, Production Manager Ken Norris, and Bexel workflow specialist Frank Giannuzzi, were among the panelists who discussed P2, XDCAM, JVC Pro, and a multitude of supplementary topics. The interactive discussion focused on the user experience with the various formats and the benefits and limitations of each. Bexel Broadcast Services' own Frank Giannuzzi offered the unique unbiased perspective providing the feed back of their customers as well as their own engineering experience with the various formats.
Bexel Broadcast Services displayed relevant products from Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Fujinon, Canon, and RF Central, to name a few. In addition to the equipment, Bexel offered its own unique brand of technical expertise by showcasing several staff engineering experts throughout the event. Their mission was to answer / discuss any technical questions or topics that the attendees posed.
TIVA-DC President, Tim Flaherty was very pleased with the how the event went, and said: "Matt Alheim and the folks at Bexel were such terrific hosts for our Wednesday night TIVA meeting. It is always such a pleasure to have such enthusiastic corporate members supporting our events"¦".
