TOM BELTZ, Rental Manager, Bexel Las Vegas. Tom started years ago with Victor Duncan to Charter to Charter/ABS, where he logged many hours in real "˜round the clock emergency service for over ten years - ending up the office manager of Charter's Chicago office. Basically, we inherited him. How's that? Well, read on"¦ In 2004, Bexel Broadcast Services acquired Charter USA and took over its existing network of regional offices, numbering four. We merged the Atlanta and Dallas operations into our own existing facilities and we decided to keep and add the Orlando and Chicago offices to our own network. At the time, Tom was doing his usual bang up job running the Chicago office and, he remained our man in Chi-Town. Once, when the local market was not yielding the usual revenue streams (translated: business was down), I asked Tom point blank, "What are you going to do about it?" He looked me in the eye and without blinking, proclaimed, "I'm gonna get it back. I'm a scrapper. I will fight hard to get it back"¦you can count on me!" And, sure enough, he did. Tom Beltz is no "˜South Side Johnny' - he's the real deal. And, he is, in fact, "˜a scrapper'. That's why we consider him for tough assignments - we know that he can be counted on to get results and he works in a tireless way to get them - including a serious commitment to real 24/7/365 customer service. Las Vegas is a city where "24/7/365" is not a concept. It is a day-to-night-to-day reality. The casinos don't even have doors or clocks - it is truly a city that never sleeps. And, since Tom doesn't sleep much either, he was the perfect candidate to help launch our newest office - Bexel Las Vegas - in 2006 "¦and rumor has it that he's been up ever since"¦ "This is a great assignment "“ it is, like the song says, "˜my kind of town - oh, wait a minute, I think that song was about Chicago"¦oh well, you know what I mean"¦it doesn't matter what city you're in when you run a Bexel office - our commitment to the customer is awesome - if they are working all night then, so are we"¦you know? Chicago? Do I miss it? Yeah"¦it was my home"¦but, I now feel like Bexel is my home and wherever Bexel takes me, well, that's where I hang my hat - well, if I wore a hat - it's just a figure of speech"¦well, gotta go - I need to drop off this deck at that casino before it gets any later"¦" tbeltz@bexel.com
