Jerry Gepner has been named the interim President of Bexel Broadcast Services, a member of the Vitec Group and the leading audio and video equipment rental provider in America - with offices across the United States. Gepner will temporarily relinquish his current position as CTO of the Vitec Group to fulfill this one-of-a-kind challenge. Gepner replaces outgoing Bexel CEO Andy Crist who held the top job for nearly 10 years and is launching a consultant firm that will continue to provide professional services to the brand.
Prior to joining Vitec, Gepner served as president of National Mobile Television (NMT). In this role, he helped launch Venue Services Group, an NMT owned systems design and integration company. Before NMT, he served as an Executive Vice President for Fox Sports and was co-founder and COO of Sportvision, the technology company that created the "˜virtual first down line' and other well-known computer enhancements for live sports telecasts.
Gepner has been the recipient of five Emmy Awards, the 1998 Digiglobe Award from Deutsche Telekom, the 2003 Broadcasting All-Star Award and eight patents in the fields of television production and virtual imaging.
