Bexel Unveils One-of-a-Kind HD Flypack

"A powerful production tool" ...that's what industry insiders have said as they witnessed the development and construction of this state-of-the-art Bexel Broadcast Services innovation. Director of Live Event and Field Production, Craig Schiller, states, "This is the big one - the one everyone has been waiting for!" He goes on to list some of the features:

Super lightweight - State-of-the-Art HD technology - All LCD monitor wall - Incorporates working positions (video and video tape) into custom equipment racks for ease of operation - Rack design and mechanics to minimize number of shipping case and bulk for significant savings in shipping costs "...and so much more that I can't even talk about - yet!"

The Sony MVS-8000G series switcher, which now includes individual keyer resizers and internal format converters, has been future-proofed to support 1080-line progressive-scan high definition (HD) production in the future. "It lives at the heart of the new flypack system, says Schiller, "...and the new interface with EVS will give users access to the flagship EVS XT[2], one of the fastest, most flexible and reliable HD video servers in the world".

Bexel has a proven track record of collaborating with some of the best-known companies in the broadcast industry, giving producers and directors the most valuable competitive edge.

  • Sony MVS-800A multi-format production switcher with 80 inputs
  • Pesa Cheetah multi-format 128x256 video router
  • Pesa DRS distributed audio routing 256x256 AES, 256x256 analog audio
  • Calrec Alpha Bluefin HD audio mixing console

One more 'leak' from Schiller: "We're even thinking of giving it a name...something that suits it and really gets across its [HD] might..."

And name are they thinking of? "Hercules - of course!"
