Bexel Praised for NBA All Star Game Performance
February 2009
Phoenix, Arizona

This year's All Star Game for NBA Digital (NBATV was only one component of NBA Digital) was a massive success on many different levels for Turner Sports, and according to Chris Brown, Director of Technical Operations for NBA Digital, it would not have been possible without the support and professionalism of the Bexel Broadcast Services on-site field shop and regional office teams.

Here is a note (reprinted by permission) from Chris, praising Bexel's All Star involvement in this year's event: "As you know, this year was the first year that Turner Sports and NBATV worked together under the same umbrella for this event. That fact alone made this event truly significant for NBATV.

You may recall, one of NBATV's challenges that week lie in the fact that our presence was spread out across so many different venues- 5 in total which added to the complexity of this event. This year, we found ourselves needing your support at each one of them, and your team met every challenge we threw your way. If I had to choose one thing that stood out to me the most, I do not think I could do so without doing injustice to the other areas Bexel supported for us.

Your Fly Pack team did a stellar job helping us to get up and running quickly. We threw a tremendous number of last minute changes at them, and coupled with the fact that one of your primary fly pack technicians had travel difficulty, the way the remainder of your team was able to jump in and get us up and running was tremendous! Their quick work allowed NBATV to capture several key interviews, including the Kobe/Shaq reunion- a much followed storyline throughout the weekend! The most notable issue that we had with the fly pack set up was that we brought in too many of our own crew for the set day!!

One other area easily over looked was that of our marketing team. While your presence as far as equipment goes was small for them, your support was huge! The attention that you gave our marketing team was spectacular, and we could not have asked for better service. This was another first for NBA Digital taking over the marketing for all of the NBA multi-media and television properties, which includes NBATV, NBA.com as well as our broadband initiatives. Our marketing team told me over and over again how attentive and responsive your on site team was, particularly given the lack of technical skill present for us at that venue. Next year, we are hiring a technician just for that venue!

Last but not least, the on site support and logistics we received from Bexel across all venues was second to none. Just knowing that your team was poised and ready at a moments notice to take care of anything"¦.from finding a Duet to purchasing tape stock was quite a relief for me given all that was going on that weekend. Reports back to me from all facets of our technical operations in Phoenix indicated that Bexel's service was fantastic.

I have worked with Bexel for nearly a decade, but admittedly, this was the first time I have ever worked with Bexel in the capacity where I utilized so many different aspects of Bexel's other services, and without question, I was beyond satisfied. Bexel helped NBA Digital to shine for our first time out, and we thank you!

Please be sure to pass along my thanks and gratitude to your team!"
