"Paula's Party" is a live, studio audience production taped in Savannah, Georgia. Executive producer and founder of New York-based Follow Productions, Gordon Elliott employed the talents of Bexel Broadcast Services' Atlanta office to provide full production equipment support to the second season of "Paula's Party", starring Paula Deen of Home Cooking Show fame. This is the third time this year that Bexel was chosen to provide this level of support to "Paula's Party", with full set-ups in January, June and now the latest in September 2007. Bexel was hired to provide three Sony F-900 cameras, HD Robotics, switcher, mobile control room, audio console and specialty microphones. The production utilized Bexel's custom made SPRS - a specially developed power supply to feed long range cables up to 300 feet - to produce the multi-camcorder event with retro harness cables and full camera control. Julia Rodgers, who manages the rental function of Bexel Atlanta, states, "We simply took a hard look at our client's financial and production needs to devise an HD multi-camera shoot that fit their budget and technical spec. We listen to the client's requests and then, deliver a solution. We hope to grow with them - advancing their production requirements as needed." Craig Bulmer, the video/camera shader onsite added, "Everyone's efforts were noted and sincerely appreciated by Follow's production team at the highest level - especially as some execs from Food Network joined us on location. It helped to have the dedicated support of a such a personable, versatile, and experienced EIC as Lane (Lane Robbins from the Bexel Dallas office) to exercise preventative maintenance all week. Please extend a word of genuine thanks to Lane, and every team member at Bexel who was involved in supporting us on location for their exceptional performance!"
