2008 NBA All-Star Technical Showcase

Bexel Broadcast Services displayed a dominant presence throughout the television compound at this year's NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in New Orleans, LA. Bexel provided unmatched on-site support and rental provisions to high profile clients such as Turner Sports, NBA Entertainment, NEP Supershooters and ESPN.

Seventeen Bexel staff engineers and technicians were on-site for the duration of the event providing engineering, operations and technical sales support. Custom configurations featured the one and only Hercules HD Full Production Flypack, plus 10 HD non-linear (Avid) edit bays, the BBS ONE HD Mobile Editing Unit, 2 Sony HD Slo-Mo Systems with HD EVS systems, press and satellite feed distribution systems via Telecast fiber optic hardware and glass, Canobeam virtual camera set-up, miniature HD POV camera system, multiple pinnacle and Chyron HD graphic systems.

The highlight of the week was Bexel's state-of-the art HD flypack: Hercules. Set-up inside the main ballroom at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in the heart of New Orleans's famous French Quarter, Hercules provided a live, full HD production solution for TNT's "Inside the NBA" studio show. The "Inside the NBA" show aired live throughout the NBA All-Star weekend festivities and originated from the exterior balcony of historic Johnny White's Restaurant, which was located across the street from the Hercules ballroom set-up. This type of logistical versatility is what makes Hercules the industry's premier HD Flypack.
