...BUT WAIT! What happened to Systems Wireless? The sign on the building says BEXEL ASG! It happens. Things change... We honor the 35+ year legacy of the original Systems Wireless Limited and all of the ground-breaking accomplishments in the art of RF technology achieved by its world-class engineeing team. In 1998, Bexel Broadcast Services took over the day-to-day management of "SWL" after its long time owner sold the business to Bexel's parent company. This began a ten year journey to integrate SWL's systems and technology into the Bexel experience. Ten years too long? No way...some transitions need to be gradual - especially when merging two different product mixes and cultures serving very different market spaces. Back in the day, 'ole Jim Dugan was a real firecracker - the top of his field and a major cornerstone of the SWL experience. Then, he left - moved on to a different network-sports-driven set of challenges and really made his mark out there in the Audio-for-Sports world. Read on... Enter Bexel ASG. A complete image change, upgrade and service integration program began to sweep through the audio brands and we found that the depth of Bexel ASG technical knowledge never really ends. Just when we think that we have all of the very best "golden ear" talent locked down and on staff, we discover (or, in this case, re-discover) more. Jim wasn't waiting to be discovered - he was already well known, downright famous - and respected throughout the industry - it just so happened that our paths crossed at exactly the right moment and - TEST 1, 2, 3...a new (old) audio specialist re-joins the team! Jim Dugan is back - he has rejoined the Audio Specialties Group(now known as Bexel ASG) bringing back 15 additional years of live, remote and studio audio and broadcast experience. His onsite RF engineering credits now include five years on The Golf Channel's live tournament coverage, and similar assignments with ABC and NBC Sports. He has also managed RF audio at hundreds of special broadcast events, including the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, The Millennium Show in Times Square, "Good Morning America", world-class rock concerts, and NFL games. Dugan's tenure at RF specialty firms and as a consultant providing wireless audio, microwave video, and data applications enabled him to co-design a wireless data solution for Atlantic Cine Equipment's robotic micro-mote camera. Most recently, he supported in-car audio and video applications, wireless talent audio, and other communications on In Tandem Productions' "Fast Cars and Super Stars" a NASCAR-based reality show that will air on ABC this summer. "I am excited about returning to my roots here at Systems Wireless," Dugan exclaimed. "Their broader platform gives me an opportunity to offer a wider range of creative broadcast products and solutions to our remote clients. The many RF projects that I worked on in the interim allowed me to return with a fresh approach, and gave me a new appreciation for System Wireless' disciplined approach to system design and implementation."
