Saturday, July 18, 2009 Burbank, CA Bexel Broadcast Services hosted a Local 695 IATSE Training Meeting / event at the brand's Burbank facility. With over 85 RSVP's, it was a standing room only crowd. Although the union had its own very specific agenda for a full day of training, the Bexel team was there to not only host the show but also provide insights into Bexel's diverse service offering. Bexel ASG Chief Engineer, Andrew Mc Haddad was there with Bexel ASG rental manager Gary Vahling. Together, they gave an introduction to Bexel's Audio Specialties Group and all of its interesting and inventive products and services in the area of pro audio, wireless/RF and intercom. Joyce Bente, Director of Bexel BVG (Broadcast Video Gear / Used Equipment Sales) was also there giving facility tours and access to the BVG Showroom and its massive inventory of premium previously owned equipment. The proprietary Bexel ASG-invented RF-Over-Fiber system was on display with literature available. A Calrec demo area was set up with brochures and console specs. Many of the union audio professionals were very interested in the wireless / RF offerings available with lots of questions for the Bexel ASG crew. Says Gary Vahling: Even though it was a union event, it really felt like a Bexel Open House "¦we really had a lot of interest and there were many facility tours given "¦I'm so pleased that so many from our staff came out on a Saturday to participate in this important networking opportunity"¦and, we all learned something, too!" Bexel is a member of The Vitec Group plc.
