Quality Control Engineer- New York

About the Job

The QC Engineer is responsible for quality control checks of a large volume of items and evaluating the condition of broadcast equipment rented by Bexel. Candidates should also be able to provide excellent customer service to clients, in the shop through in house preps, on the phone and on site in person when required. Attention to detail and solid work ethic is required to perform the duties. Helping customers evaluate their rental package and supporting any questions they may have. Experience working with audio and video equipment in any fashion is a plus.

Responsibilities

•Responsible for the technical performance and cosmetic appearance of Bexel owned and sub- rented equipment that is provided to a customer following the guidelines put in place.
•Assists engineering with daily workload as needed.
•Assists operations with daily workload as needed and serve as overflow driver and/or shop assistant when required.
•Assists Engineering in assuring that out-going orders are properly packaged and meet the Bexel standard for quality.
•Follow standard procedures when dealing with Items that are not package properly or items damaged by a customer.
•Maintenance and up-keep of all re-chargeable batteries in the inventory.
•Maintains excellent customer service skills both internally and externally.
•Maintains knowledge of new equipment and evaluation procedures.
•Ensure a clean and safe work environment

Audio Engineer – Burbank

About the Job

The Audio Engineer is responsible for the QC and packaging of all Wireless, Audio, and Intercom equipment that goes in and out of the Burbank office. A solid understanding of audio formats and Intercom workflows is required. Experience with on-site support of Audio and Intercom equipment in a broadcast environment is required. Out of town travel may be required.

Responsibilities

•On Site show support of Audio and Intercom Equipment.
•Quality Control checks of equipment to ensure it meets Bexel standards
•Packaging of equipment in shipping cases and/or rack cases based on the needs of the client
•Perform minor maintenance and upgrades to electronic equipment
•Phone support for customer with questions regarding setup or configuration of a package
•Provide sales team with support for product specifications and abilities.

Audio Technician – Burbank
 
About the Job

Broadcast experience related to how equipment will be used in the field is required to make sure the equipment is packaged properly for the customer.

EVS Senior Network Engineer – Dallas

About the Job

The EVS Senior Network Engineer is responsible for providing design and support for broadcast data systems, as well as Tier One, Two and Three support for IT hardware, software, network, and operating system. Understand and troubleshoot in MS-DOS, Windows, Apple and Cisco VPN systems. A solid understand of HD and SD broadcast standards and compression schemes is required.


Responsibilities

Provide engineering support and recommendations for network hardware and software for Broadcast infrastructure systems
•Anti-Virus, firewalls, Security, connectivity, and related activities
•Establish new methods for moving large amounts of data over a network efficiently and quickly
•Establish new methods of storing large amounts of data for off-line usage
•Support for hardware upgrade, update, retrofit in a number of customized hardware platforms
•Software support for a number of different platforms like MS-DOX 6.2, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows server, Apple OS, Apple IOS. Familiarity with GHOST a priority
•Custom configure traveling systems for a specific use and purpose that will ensure ease of use by the end user and redundancy where needed to ensure no down time
•Answer incoming customer inquiries via telephone, email and/or web concerning hardware or software issues
•Interface extensively with end users via above methods to ensure a fully functional system with no downtown
•Assist with all aspects of technical support, including on-site visits as needed
•Maintain hardware warranty and software licensing database
•Maintain problem ticket software for management reporting and job justification
•As needed, instruct end users in the appropriate use of equipment, software, and/or reference materials
