Chief Audio Engineer – ASG

Since joining Bexel in 1998 as Chief Audio Engineer, Andrew McHaddad has guided technological improvements in the areas of audio, voice communication and RF technologies. To date, Andrew has played an integral role in the creation of some of Bexel’s most important custom solutions, including the propriety Managed Antenna System (MAS), the Eagle announcer system and the Falcon sportscaster unit.

While at Bexel, Andrew has worked on numerous high-profile events, including spending the past 11 years as the Communications Supervisor for the Academy Awards’ domestic press compound. In 2008, Andrew served as the Audio/Communications Systems Engineer for NBC’s Olympic coverage at the Beijing Aquatics Center, a project that was ultimately awarded with a Technical Emmy. From 2005 to the present, Andrew has served as the Communications Supervisor for E!’s Live from the Red Carpet coverage of the SAG, Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe Awards. In addition, Andrew coordinated approximately 300 frequencies for the 2011 NHL Winter Classic telecast.

Andrew is a key figure in Bexel’s antenna system installations for clients including The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brian, ESPN LA Live!, CNBC, Victory Studio, KNTV NBC, Fox Digital Production Facility, KTTV FOX-11 and Harpo Studios.
